The whether through out the three days we were at camp were out standing.
I like this snap shot because I liked hanging out with my friends that I don't hang around with.
Experiencing the waterfall was peaceful and cold but it was very enjoyable.

Vitamin Poem
Vitamins keep the body running
Especially vitamin k, it aids the blood clotting.
vitamin D makes the bones in your knees tough and strong
So you can stand for long.
Vitamin E protects your cells from oxygen damage
So if you want to dine just remember these lines

Musical Evening
Room 7 Boys were up doing a fijian dance. I was nervous as I stood up to go on stage. The music started playing and we moved our shoulders to the beat.
As it got to the middle of the song I was getting more comfortable on the stage. The song stopped. The crowd clapped with enjoyment. The song started and everyone was stunned as we started it all over again.
I felt relieved once it was over, and I know how relieved the others were too. We worked hard practicing for the musical evening. Now that it’s all over. Our hard work is paid off for everyone had enjoyed watching our dance.
My Highlight
My highlight at the Musical Evening was the drumming group. Their performance was funny especially when Mrs Tui played the cymbals.I really enjoyed the speed of the beats.

Ratio problem
L.I. we are learning simple ratio by repeated copying, and also we learned how to make up our own problem.
Rolland is packing bags of marbles. Each bag has 4 blue marbles
and 6 red marbles.
1) He needs to fill 9 bags. How many blue and red marbles would he need?
2) If he has 12 blue marbles how many bags will he to fill?
3) If he had to fill in 22 bags how many blue and red marbles would he need?
Can you solve my problem?

The Big Bang.
It was a stormy cold night. There was a big bang that came from the living room downstairs. I got out of bed and crept down the stairs slowly to see what was making the noise. BANG it went again it came from the kitchen this time. I crept slowly towards the kitchen.
My feet felt so cold walking on the cold hard wooden floor walking towards the mysterious noise. I felt my heart beat going faster and faster, as I got closer and closer to the mysterious noise. I was scared because I didn’t know what I was going to find. The lightning struck I saw a shadow next to the window, I was so scared.
It was so dark so I slowly walked to the light, shaking inside. Scared for what I was going to see. All of a sudden I hit the light switch and what did I find........ A possum sitting there staring at me. He had jumped through the window trying to get some food and that was what made the big BANG sound. I grabbed a stick because I didn’t know what to do so I threw the stick at the possum and it ran back out the window.
I felt relieved that I had found out what the noise was and had got rid of it. I went back to bed and had a good night sleep.

My First Basketball Experience.
It was a Tuesday morning and Room 7 went out to play and learn new skills about basketball. As we lined up outside our classroom waiting for Mrs Tui to instruct us to go to the court. As we walked to the center of the courts, we met a man named Coach Bruce.
Coach Bruce asked us to line up on the yellow line and Mrs Tui sorted us into our teams, there were five groups.Bruce handed out a basket ball to each team,we had to dribble the ball around the cone and back and pass it to the other person that was next in line. Bounce bounce bounce as we dribbled the ball back and forth, next we played a game. We had to run to the center of the court and run across the base line and run towards the hoop and shoot it.It was a fun game.
Soon it was time, Coach Bruce blew the whistle he told us all to come sit down,It was time for us to leave so room 6 can have their turn. I can’t wait until the next time we have kiwi sports as I thought when I walked back to class.

RETREAT
29th of March was the day that the year 8 went to retreat. It was time for us to leave. As we drove up the driveway of St Francis retreat centre we were amazed how big the place was,Brother Phillip awaited us as we drove up.
We all got out of the car we went in and brother Phillip told us the instruction and rules,Then we went in to the waiting room and waited for him. He then instructed us to enter the chapel and he handed us a notebook for writing a prayer or talking to god,we also had a quiet time and time to think. Next we had to go and put our bags into our room.
Later we went in to the meeting room and played a game.
After that we went outside and invented our own little ark but me Siu and Sione koula teamed up and we built an ark 3 time bigger than the normal one. we worked very hard on it, then we went to the back of the building and placed our arks in the pond filled with goldfish. We all got a rock that represented a animal, Our’s floated like Zeph’s and Lavinia’s. Soon it was time for the Year 8 students to go into the chapel and write in our notebook. also we all got a chance to light a candle,it was a special time.soon it was time to go to sleep.
The next day was a bit boring because we had to return back to school.

Tennis recount
What an exciting morning for Room 7! We were the first for the Kiwi sport. We were all excited. The nets were up in the court. Once we finished line up Room 7 went straight to the tennis court.
We were met by Marcel, the instructor. I saw the pile of rackets and tennis ball. I can’t wait to put my hand on it.
Instructions were given and rules were put in place.
The minute I got to the net,Marcel, instructed us to hold the racket like a frying pan, we learnt how to bounce the ball on the spot and roll it around the racket. Soon we had to get in to pairs of two.My partner was Catherine, one of the pairs had to go on to the other side of the net.
Marcel taught us a similar game to tennis, called king of the court. Each person at a net was one group and they lined up. The first person in line was the first to start I was the first in line to start and so was Catherine.
When Marcel blew the whistle that was time my team won.
We went and put back the racket and the balls. We lined up inside the court and walked back to class. It was a fun experience playing tennis for the first time.
